The origin of Lane Cruise...

Lane Cruise is the living memory of a very special friend...

Born March 4, 1988, Lanie attended Maggie Walker Governor’s School in Richmond and graduated from James Madison University in 2011. She was an avid athlete, excelling at field hockey, soccer, and basketball. More recently, she helped coach field hockey at Maggie Walker. Lanie was a food enthusiast, receiving a scholarship in 2006 to attend the Art Institute’s culinary program. She loved strange and international foods but held a special place in heart for all things bacon. She worked at Richmond restaurants Amici and Osaka, and loved riding her bike.
She was a lover of books, especially the Harry Potter series. She was a generous and loyal friend, a loving sister and daughter, and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Lanie’s spirit and enthusiasm for living was apparent in everything she did.

Lanie wrote original works of several of Lane Cruise's characters, and the stories told in these books, seek to share with the world, the special love, kindness, and heart that every one who knew Lanie Kruszewski got to experience through her.
